99 3047800
100 3108600

So, it turns out I'm actually level 27. Getting those extra 20 skill points shouldn't be "TOO" horrible I suppose. I'm a compulsive collector and, since I've finished the game, my goal is to collect every single skill available. I probably won't be playing PvP too much even if I do collect everything....but it's still a goal that will keep me playing for quite some time.

I'd like to put this somewhere else on the forums as a guide but I'm not sure where to submit it.

It's not about age or rank. It's just to get a grasp on how many levels you've gone through/how many skill points you've earned. It's just to get a numerical representation of where you are and how much more difficult it will be to get more skill points.

Besides, the /age INCLUDES idle time so it isn't a true reflection of your play time if you've left the game on by itself for long periods of time. I'm at 117 hours right now but I think my actual play time is more near 70.

Anyways, I do think they need some kind of message of seniority. Although raising the level cap doesn't quite suit my tastes (Guild Wars is supposed to be the "level 20 free only PvP RPG isn't it?") Maybe add some kind of symbol to show status. Whether it is based on how much that account has unlocked, number of elite skills, wins in HoH, fame, etc. Just some kind of visible marker for the more experienced players.

Isn't that what the poster is asking for? Maybe a dot behind the [profession/profession level] of those with some knowledge, to a diamond for veterans, and a star or something for the Korean players...I mean um, the players who have mastered the game.
/fame does what you're asking, to some degree.

Synncial,
As far as I know, /age only shows you your age, not everyone else.
As for a numerical representation of how hard it is to get the next skill point, Helios already said, if you mouse over the XP bar on the Hero screen it tells you that number.

The con side is entitled to their opinions, but at least back up your claims of it being dumb.

I for one only wish to see this because people who bother to get to insanely high levels (like level 100) even though they are shown as level 20 will be less likely to do moronic things on missions. Ever hate it when the casters tank and the tanks don't do their job? Yeah, the time spent in those parties sucked for me, the monk. Don't know about you guys...maybe you like partying with people who don't know what they're doing. As for me, when I'm trying to complete a crucial mission or when I only have about an hour or two left to play the game, I want to know whether or not my party members are efficient or not.

Of course, people could get hand-me-down characters from their siblings or friends, but for the majority of players this function would be applicable and helpful. Many have complained about idiotic team mates, so why not?

I dont think its at all horrable to have something to brag about either. Whats the /fame or /rank emotes for if not to show what youve accomplished.

I think if this would work best for pve created characters only and not pvp players. Then it could just be something that would let everyone know, "this person got some pve under his belt" But it doesnt make them leaders. I just makes them experanced pve'ers.

If a person needed to brag or act like a jerk at lvl40, he would have done it at lvl21. These people, no matter what they accomplish, are sad, probably lonely and easy to laugh at or pity.

Its a simple and more helpful than harmful idea. (imo) Not very important, but still, any improvement is a welcome improvement.
